Doming is a specialised process where a clear, liquid polyurethane resin is precisely applied over a printed graphic, curing into a raised, three-dimensional “dome.” This process significantly increases durability by creating a hermetic “capsule” that seals the edges of the print, preventing water, dirt, or chemicals from seeping underneath. Additionally, the resin acts as a high-factor UV filter to protect the ink from fading and features “self-healing” properties, where minor surface scratches disappear under the influence of heat.
